Frederick, MD, February 4, 2015 - The Frederick Police Department along with the Frederick County Juvenile Delinquency Prevention and Policy Board (JDPPB), a subcommittee of the Local Management Board (LMB), is pleased to announce the release of the third edition of the Guide to Youth Resources in Frederick County. The Guide to Youth Resources in Frederick County can be found at www.cityoffrederick.com/police or by emailing Michele Bowman at mbowman@frederickmdpolice.org.
Along with the Youth Resource Guide, we are also pleased to announce the second annual Youth Resource Fair. This year’s fair will be held on Saturday, April 18th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Francis Scott Key Mall.
The Youth Resource Fair is a free event that will provide parents and youth with information on programs and services for youth ages 5-21 in Frederick County. Programs and services to be featured include: after-school programs, child & family services, dropout prevention, educational programs, hotlines & crisis services, job assistance, mental health, mentoring programs, substance abuse treatment, volunteer opportunities, etc.
