Warming Centers Open in Frederick
FCAA & Frederick Rescue Mission

Frederick, MD – January 8, 2015: The Frederick Community Action Agency’s activities room (soup kitchen room) will be open today, Thursday, January 8th and tomorrow, Friday, January 9th, as a day shelter or warming center. The FCAA is located at 100 South Market Street.

Mike Spurrier, Executive Director of FCAA, encourages clients that are homeless and anyone else to come to the activities room to stay warm. Hot coffee will also be available throughout the day.

As a reminder, clients may exit through the doors in the activities room, but must re-enter the building through the lobby door.

The Frederick Rescue Mission, located at 419 West South Street, is also open as a warming center.
