The Frederick Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is working in cooperation with the Columbus Police Department to locate a missing toddler.

On December 28, 2014, the father of Cameron Beckford (age 14 months) and Cheyanne Beckford (age 6) reported that their mother had taken them to an unknown location in Ohio. Based on the custody arrangements of the mother and the father, it was determined that the mother was allowed and authorized to have care and custody of the children. Based on concerns expressed by the father, for the children's welfare, missing person reports were completed for both children. The case was then assigned to a detective in the Criminal Investigations Division.

Detective Deborah Kidwell located a possible address in Columbus Ohio where the mother may have been visiting. Detective Kidwell contacted the Columbus Police Department and requested the agency verify the welfare of the children. During the course of the continued investigation into the missing children, Columbus Police Department was able to locate Cheyenne. Currently, Cameron is still missing and the Columbus Police Department is actively looking for him now.

We are asking anyone with information on the location of Cameron to contact the Detective Kidwell at 301-600-7522
