Local Entrepreneurs Participate in 2014 Pitch Across Maryland at Downtown Frederick Tour Stop

Frederick, MD – September 17, 2014

What: The Startup Maryland bus will be in Downtown Frederick on September 23, 2014 as a part of the Pitch Across Maryland tour. From custom-designed shoes to crowdsourcing your college education, local entrepreneurs will board the bus and pitch their business ideas. This program highlights the strong entrepreneurial spirit in Frederick and Maryland.

This event is sponsored by The City of Frederick Department of Economic Development, Frederick County Department of Business Development and Retention, and FITCI (Frederick Innovative Technology Center, Inc.).

Who: Attendees will include local entrepreneurs pitching their business plans, Startup Maryland staff, City of Frederick and Frederick County economic development professionals, and local business and community leaders. Companies pre-registered to pitch include: Shoe Designer U; MOOKIE; Foxspire, LLC; Pro Performance Productions; Eventuosity; Mosaic Power; and Imagilin.

When: Tuesday, September 23, 2-4pm

Where: Downtown Frederick - Brewer's Alley, 124 N Market St., Frederick, MD 21701

Bus will be parked in front of Brewer’s Alley, while guests will gather inside for before and after their pitches. It's noteworthy that Brewer's Alley is also owned by a local restaurant entrepreneur, and serves as an example of the opportunity in Frederick for small businesses and entrepreneurs.
