Joint Press Conference Scheduled for The City of Frederick and Hood College
March on Frederick, a Tribute to the 50th Anniversary of Civil Rights Act of 1964
Frederick, MD -- The City of Frederick and Hood College will hold a joint press conference on Thursday, August 28th at 1:00 PM in the Boardroom of City Hall regarding the March on Frederick. The press conference will include information on the upcoming March on Frederick planned by Hood College and numerous Frederick community organizations to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the signing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
As a tribute to and in remembrance of the historic March on Washington that took place on August 29, 1963, Hood College has planned three days of exciting events scheduled to begin Friday, September 26th and continuing through Sunday, September 28th. Speaking at the press conference will be Olivia White, Vice-President for Student Life and Dean of Students at Hood College and Randy McClement, Mayor of The City of Frederick.
