FPD arrested a man early this morning for an attempted armed robbery along Carroll Creek.
At 2:24 AM today, FPD received a 911 call for an attempted armed robbery which had just occurred on Carroll Creek linear park near Wells Fargo bank. Responding officers were able to quickly establish a perimeter and detained three subjects running from the scene. After contact with the victim and two witnesses, all three were able to separately identify Tyler Lee Shields (01/17/1991) as the person who threatened the victim by saying he had a gun and demanding cigarettes, which the victim did not have.
Shields was arrested and taken to Central Booking, where he was charged with Attempted Armed Robbery, Attempted Robbery and Disorderly Conduct.
