The City of Frederick Parks and Recreation Department has announced the Tennis and Basketball Court Resurfacing Project will begin on Monday, August 18, 2014.

Tennis and Basketball Court Resurfacing Project
Frederick, MD -- The City of Frederick Parks and Recreation Department has announced the Tennis and Basketball Court Resurfacing Project will begin on Monday, August 18, 2014. Repairs to City tennis courts and basketball courts will involve, but are not limited to, crack sealing, court surfacing and/or court lining. The project is expected to take up to three (3) weeks to complete, weather permitting. The City’s website will be kept as up to date as possible on the construction at www.cityoffrederick.com under the Parks & Recreation Department.
The tennis and basketball courts in the following City parks will be closed effective Monday, August 18th and will reopen once the construction project is completed.
Baker Park – All eleven (11) tennis courts (The bulletin boards at both sets of courts will be kept as up to date as possible on the construction progress)
Overlook Park – tennis courts
Monocacy Village Park – tennis courts
Wetherburne Park – basketball court
During the construction process, citizens are asked to contact the Frederick City Police Department at 301-600-2100 if they observe anyone on the courts attempting to play, skate boarders, ride bicycles, or any other behavior that can damage or hinder the resurfacing project.
