Frederick Police arrest man in attempted 2nd degree murder...
On 7/31/14, at approximately 1811 hours, Frederick Police Department officers and detectives responded to the 400 block of Arwell Ct. for a stabbing. Responding patrol officers located a male, bleeding heavily, inside a residence. The male was flown to R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with serious and potentially life-threatening injuries as a result of the stabbing.
OFC R. Forrest, OFC R. Bednar, OFC Alger and Off M. Fast located the suspect inside the residence hiding in an upstairs bedroom. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to FMH with a minor hand injury related to the assault and then taken to FCADC.
Det. Mike Morgan was assigned as the lead investigator in the case. The investigation revealed the suspect is the nephew of the victim. A verbal altercation occurred at the suspect’s residence, a physical assault then ensued between the two. During the assault, the suspect grabbed a knife and stabbed the victim several times in the abdomen and leg.
The victim underwent surgery, and his status was listed as critical but stable as of this writing.

Reyes was charged with the following:
• Attempted 2nd degree murder
• 1st degree assault
• 2nd degree assault
