On 7-30-2014, a member of the Frederick Police Department's Drug Enforcement Unit received a telephone call from a known subject who had received his number in the course of an earlier case. When the caller, identified as Angela Ayers, solicited the officer for a sexual act, the officer asked her if she knew who she was calling, as it was clear she was mistaken as to his identity. Ayers said she knew who he was, but referred to him by a different name.
Ayers agreed on a price and a meeting location. When she arrived there, Ayers was arrested without incident. A search of Ayers' person incident to arrest revealed a glass smoking device, commonly referred to a "crack stem," containing suspected crack cocaine residue.
Ayers was taken to Central Booking.
