On Saturday, July 26, 2014 at approximately 7:30pm, Frederick Police officers responded to the 1600 block of Colonial Way for a reported shooting.
On Saturday, July 26, 2014 at approximately 7:30pm, Frederick Police officers responded to the 1600 block of Colonial Way for a reported shooting. Upon arrival, a 16 year old male was located suffering from a single gunshot wound to the upper left arm.
Based upon interviews, it is believed that the victim was shot in an undetermined wooded area and was transported to a residence on Colonial Way, where police made contact with him.
The victim was transported to Frederick Memorial Hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. As of this writing, he has not yet been released from the hospital.
The investigation into this shooting is active and ongoing; therefore, limited information is being released at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Frederick Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division. Information can be passed on by contacting the lead detective, Det.
