On 01/26/2012 the FPD Drug Enforcement Unit arrested Wayne Lyles for possession with intent to distribute heroin.
On 01/26/2012 members of the Frederick Police Department Drug Enforcement Unit obtained information regarding a suspect selling heroin. Officers conducted an investigation and identified Wayne Lyles as the suspect who was selling heroin. Officers located the vehicle Lyles was driving, and he was detained as part of the investigation.
A Frederick Police K-9 officer and his partner responded to the scene and a sniff of the vehicle was conducted. The police K-9 alerted officers to the presence of drugs emanating from the vehicle. Lyles was placed under arrest at approximately 2112. He was searched incident to arrest and officers located 32 bags of heroin with an approximate street value of $640. Additionally, Lyles was in possession of prescription drugs not prescribed to him.
Lyles was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center and charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, possession of heroin, possession of non-CDS and possession of paraphernalia.
