Frederick Police responded to the area of Fairfield Drive and Deer Valley Drive after a roofer stated he was shot with a bb gun in the hip.
On 07-14-2014 at approximately 12:30 hours Frederick City Police responded to the area of Fairfield Drive for a shooting involving a BB gun. Upon arrival patrol units were able to contact the victim, a roofer, who was on a roof doing some work in the neighborhood. The victim stated that he had been shot in the left hip area with a BB. The victim did not require medical assistance.
Patrol officers were able to positively identify the juvenile responsible for shooting the BB gun. The juvenile admitted to shooting the subject on the roof and the BB gun was located and seized. The juvenile was charged with assault 2nd degree, destruction of property, and discharging a firearm within the city limits. The case will be refereed to juvenile services.
