[ARCHIVED] Frederick Police Arrest Man for Possession of Ammunition

A Frederick man has been arrested by detectives for possessing ammunition and marijuana...

The Frederick Police Department is continuing to work the investigation into the shooting of a 15 year old female on July 4, 2014. During the course of this investigation information was revealed that led detectives to an address on Rhode Island Court.

During the subsequent investigation at the Rhode Island Court address detectives located loaded handgun magazines and ammunition in the bedroom of the suspect, Micah Karem Jeffrey. In addition to the handgun magazines and ammunition, marijuana was also recovered.

On 07/07/2014 Det. Morgan of the Frederick Police Department applied for charges against Micah Jeffrey. An arrest warrant was issued charging Micah Jeffrey with possession of regulated firearm ammunition and possession of marijuana.

On 07/08/2014 at approximately 9:07 PM detectives located Jeffrey in the 100 Block of Rhode Island Court. Jeffrey was taken into custody without incident. Jeffrey has since been transported to Frederick County Adult Detention Center and is awaiting an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.

This is the third arrest made by detectives related to the July 4, 2014 shooting in the 400 block of Sagner Avenue. The Frederick Police Department is still requesting assistance from the community in this case and any other incidents occurring in the area.
