Bentz Street Pedestrian Upgrades
Frederick, MD -- As part of the City’s Comprehensive Plan Policy to promote bicycle and pedestrian mobility, the City has begun the Bentz Street Pedestrian Upgrades CIP project. The project enhances the pedestrian accommodations along Bentz Street from 2nd Street to 7th Street. The improvements will include new pedestrian signals and upgrades to curb ramps, where necessary. During the construction, there will be intermittent shoulder and lane closures. Those traveling through this area should expect delays and use caution and courtesy when traveling through work zones.
The City of Frederick urge motorists to be mindful of workers and anyone else traveling through work zones by slowing down, paying attention, and driving safely. Speeding in work zones is against the law and puts those who work there – as well as those who drive there – in danger.
