Frederick Police department detectives arrest two subjects in an assault that occurred...
On 6/16/14, at approximately 0250 hours, Frederick Police officers were dispatched to FMH for a call about an injured person from a serious assault. Det. Doug Ames was assigned as the lead investigator and began follow up. The investigation revealed that at approximately 0200 hours a verbal altercation ensued between the victim and two suspects known to the victim while the group was in the 300 block of N. Market St. A short time later, the victim was accosted by the two suspects in Scottish Alley near his home.
Both suspects began assaulting the victim and struck him with a brick. Additionally, the victim told police that one of the suspects, Gladchuk, stabbed his arm with a knife. The victim was able to escape from the suspects and was taken to FMH by a family member. His injuries were described as serious but non-life threatening. The suspects and victim in this case are known to each other; therefore, this is not a random event.

Both suspects were charged on warrants with:
• Assault 1st degree
• Assault 2nd degree
• Reckless Endangerment
Both suspects turned themselves into the Frederick Police shortly after being notified of the outstanding warrants. Both suspects were taken to FCADC without incident.
