On 5-30-2014, a Frederick Police patrol officer responded to a parking complaint in the 100 block of West 4th St. The officer located the vehicle that generated the complaint and identified the residence of the registered owner. When the officer knocked on the door of that residence, in the same block, he detected an odor of raw marijuana when the door was opened.
Patrol officers seized the residence until a judge could review and sign a warrant for the residence. Upon service of the search warrant, officers located a quantity of marijuana and packaging materials suggestive of an intent to distribute. This contraband was seized, as well as a quantity of U.S. currency.
The resident was placed under arrest and taken to Central Booking to see a District Court Commissioner.
