The City of Frederick Government Offices Will Be Closed On Memorial Day
Clarification to City Services

Frederick, MD – Revision : Regarding the Memorial Day holiday, residents that normally set trash out on Sunday for Monday collection should set their trash out on Monday, May 27th after 5:00 pm for Tuesday, May 28th collection.

The City of Frederick Offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 26, 2014. Offices will reopen at the regularly scheduled times on Tuesday, May 27, 2014.

There will be NO Trash Collection Service on Monday, May 26th in observance of Memorial Day. This notice applies to residents that normally set out their trash out on Sunday evening for Monday morning collection. These residents are asked to put their trash out on Monday evening after 5:00 pm for Tuesday collection.

**Please note – The Downtown Commercial District which includes; Market Street from South Street to 7th Street and Patrick Street from East Street to Bentz Street will have trash collected as scheduled.

There will also be NO Yard Waste Collection for NAC Area 6 on Monday, May 26th. This will be collected on the next scheduled yard waste collection day for the NAC Area 6 which is Monday, June 9th.

Clarification to the schedule is as follows:

• Parking decks and parking meters are free on Monday, May 26th

• The William Talley Recreation Center will be closed on Sunday, May 25th and Monday May 26th in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.

• Frederick Community Action Agency (FCAA) and the Foodbank will be closed on Monday, May 26th and reopen on Tuesday, May 27th

• The Soup Kitchen located at the FCAA will be open on Saturday, May 24th, Sunday, May 25th and Monday, May 26th serving an evening meal from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. daily.
