Frederick Police arrest a subject after a neighbor dispute turned into an attempted 1st degree assault with a gun.
On 05/17/2014 at approximately 6:36 AM, officers from the Frederick Police Department were dispatched to a weapons complaint in the 200 block of East 7th St. Upon arrival, OFC S Payne learned that there was a neighbor dispute and during the dispute, one of the subjects entered the victim’s home and threatened him with a gun.
During the course of her investigation and through a subsequent follow-up, OFC Payne learned that the suspect, identified as Carl Lutz, argued with the victim over money and attempted to assault the victim with a gun. After a brief physical altercation, Lutz left the victim’s home and returned to his residence. Lutz was taken into custody a short time later and transported to the Frederick County Detention Center. His bond is currently set at $250,000. The victim was unharmed and required no medical treatment.
