Officers from the Frederick Police Department arrested a female for armed robbery on Old National Pike.
On 04/27/2014 at approximately 1:04 AM, officers from the Frederick Police Department were dispatched to an armed robbery and located the victim in the 1000 block of West Patrick Street. Upon arrival, officers learned the victim was robbed at knifepoint of his wallet by a known acquaintance in the area of the 5600 block of Old National Pike. Further, officers learned the suspect made the victim drive her to an ATM to obtain more money. Upon arrival, the victim exited the car and contacted an employee of a local business, and asked her to call 911.
Officers quickly located the suspect nearby and identified her as Tyra Simms. Simms was taken into custody without incident. The victim was not injured as a result of the assault.
