Patrol division officers capture wanted robbery suspect in the 1600 block of Rosemont Ave....
On 1/14/14, the Frederick Police Department requested the public’s assistance locating three men involved in an armed robbery that occurred on 1/3/14 at the Motel 6 in Frederick, MD. On 4/2/14, after a brief foot chase in the 1600 block of Rosemont Ave, Frederick Police Department patrol officers located Cameron Jackson, one of the suspects in this case, and took him into custody without incident. Jackson was taken to FCADC for processing and was released after posting an $85,000 bond.
On 1/3/14, at approximately 0109 hours, officer with the Frederick Police Department responded to the Motel 6, located at 999 W. Patrick St., for a reported armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers located the victim who was bleeding from his head. The victim was inside the room with a female when several males were invited into the room by the female. One of the males demanded money and pointed a gun at the victim. A second suspect then struck the victim with a bottle, and a third suspect proceeded to take the victim’s belongings. The three suspects fled the area on foot and later in a vehicle.
Det. Mike Morgan was assigned as the lead investigator in the case. Through the course of the investigation, three suspects were identified, and arrest warrants were issued for the following charges:
• Armed robbery
• Conspiracy to commit armed robbery
• Robbery
• Conspiracy to commit robbery
• Theft: less than $1,000
• Assault first degree
Two of the suspects in this case are still wanted by police. They are identified as:
• Julian Griffith (B/M, 07/03/1991) of the 13000 block of Middlevale Ln, Silver Spring, MD
• Shawn S. Johnson (B/M, 12/03/1991) of the 2300 block of Anvil Ln. Temple Hills, MD
