On 3-29-14, Frederick Police officers discovered a large amount of suspected marijuana and large amount of currency during a Domestic Disturbance investigation at the Manor Apartments located in the 100 block of Willowdale Drive. One female was arrested.
On today's date, 03-29-14, at approximately 1955 hours, officers with the Frederick Police Department's Patrol Division responded to a Domestic Disturbance at 135 Willowdale Drive, the Manor Apartments. Once at the residence, a reluctant female answered the door and assured officers nothing was wrong. When officers checked the apartment for any suspects or injured persons based on their observation of blood on the floor inside the apartment, they found no one else inside.
Officers did however locate a very large amount of suspected marijuana in plain view along side a large amount of US currency in several rolls bound by rubber bands. After getting assistance from the Department's Drug Enforcement Unit, the apartment was more thoroughly searched, resulting in an additional large amount of suspected marijuana being located. Additional rolls of US currency was also located.
The female resident, Ms. Powell, was subsequently charged accordingly. The male half of the incident who had fled the apartment prior to police arriving will be charged at a later date. His identity is being withheld at this time.
