Today, Frederick Police Detectives arrested Frankie Aubrey Williams in the death of his 21 month old daughter.
On 3/14/14, at approximately 11:50 pm, Frederick Police received a call for a child who was not breathing. Police and Department of Fire Rescue Services personnel were dispatched to the 300 block of Prospect Blvd. First responders found a 21 month old child unresponsive and immediately began life saving efforts. The young girl was transported to FMH and pronounced dead a short time later.
Investigation into her death revealed suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident. Visible marks and bruises were observed on her body at the hospital. During the course of the investigation the father was identified as the person who inflicted the injuries.
The father was arrested and is identified as:

Williams is charged with the following:
• 1st degree child abuse resulting in death
• 1st degree child abuse with severe physical injury
• 1st degree assault
The investigation into this incident is active and ongoing. Detectives are awaiting autopsy results from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office.
