Police respond to suspicious person in the area of Lincoln Elementary on 3-12-14 just prior to school opening.
The Frederick Police Department is asking that parents be aware of a report of suspicious male who reportedly approached a mother walking her son to school this morning. The mother reported that a male, described as being white, 5-10, short gray hair and grayish blond beard approached her as she was walking in the area of Center St. and Scholl's Lane. The mother advised that the male was wearing a black jacked and plaid shirt underneath.
The male made inappropriate sexual comments and made reference to liking young girls. The male reportedly continued to follow the mother and her son, and young daughter.
The mother was able to ward off the male when it appeared he attempted to touch her daughter's foot as she was seated in a stroller.
No other similar incidents have been reported to this point. The Frederick Police Department is asking all parents to be aware their surroundings and that they educate their children who may be walking in the area.
