City Code Reminder Regarding Snow Removal
Frederick, MD -- The City of Frederick reminds property owners and their contractors that it is a violation of City code to plow, shovel, or otherwise deposit snow or ice onto a public street or sidewalk. Violation of this code will result in a municipal infraction punishable by a fine up to five hundred dollars ($500.00). A person violating this code and the owner of any property from which the snow or ice originated are jointly and severably liable for any costs incurred by the City in removing the snow or ice and repairing any damage to City property. The City asks that you cooperate and follow this code so that our dedicated plowing crews can keep the streets clear and open to the public.
