On January 9th, the Frederick Police Department conducted Alcohol Compliance Checks of commercial establishments selling Alcohol products within the City of Frederick for the first time this year. The operation was funded by a grant through the Frederick County Health Department. Frederick Police Officers, with the help of underage volunteers, were able to check 34 businesses for compliance with state laws prohibiting the sale of alcohol products to minors. Market Street, Market on Market on N. Market Street, Rosedale Ice on N. East Street, East Street Liberty on N. East Street, Frederick Discount Liquors on N. Bentz St. , Sunshine Liquors on Motter Avenue, 3-Star Liquors on W. 7th Street, Amber Meadows Liquors on Thomas Johnson Drive, Beckley’s Country Store on willow Road, Riverside Liquors on Riverbend Way, Manny Mart on S. Market Street, H&R Food Market on S. Market Street, Fox’s Sport & Bait on S. market Street, Jefferson Street Exxon on S. Jefferson Street, Sunrise Liquors on S. Jefferson Street, Festival Liquors on Prospect Boulevard, A-1 Mart on Himes Avenue, Frederick Getgo on W. Patrick Street, Westridge Liquors on W. Patrick Street, Hillcrest Beer & Wine on W. The following establishments did not comply with the law and offenders were issued citations: East Patrick Street Liberty on E. Patrick Street, Viniferous on N. Market Street, Eastside Liquors on N. East Street, BP/A-1 Choice Mart on S. Jefferson Street, Willowtree Liquors on Willowdale Drive, DJ Liquors on W. Patrick Street.
