Mayor’s Christmas Message
2013
Frederick, MD -- Wow, it’s hard to believe that it is already time to say Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year. Looking back I have to say we have had a great year here in Frederick. We have seen many accomplishments.
We all know of the tremendous community spirit here in Frederick, and that has been reinforced many times in recent weeks as I walk and ride around our town. It warms the heart to see the community involvement in our town.
Christmas is the time of year for quiet reflection, to look back to where we have been and what we have accomplished. It is also a time to establish aspirations and goals for the coming New Year.
Christmas is a special time to spend with family and friends. I know I am personally looking forward to spending some quality time with my family, especially the grandkids.
This Christmas let us also take time out of our busy schedules to think of others. Maybe lend a hand to those less fortunate than ourselves, pay a visit those who may be alone for the holidays, and say a prayer for those protecting us both at home and abroad.
On behalf of the Board of Aldermen, staff and employees at The City of Frederick, I wish you and your families a peaceful and joyful Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year.
