Transportation Planning Board Seeking Applications for 2014 Citizens Advisory Committee
Frederick, MD -- Community leaders and interested citizens from The City of Frederick are invited to apply for membership on the 2014 Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) to the National Capital Region Transportation Planning Board (TPB).
The CAC is a group of 15 people who represent diverse viewpoints on regional transportation issues. The TPB is the body that coordinates transportation planning for the metropolitan Washington region, and includes elected local officials, representatives from transportation agencies, and other key officials.
Tim Davis, Planner for The City of Frederick said, “The Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) has often been at the forefront of progress with the Transportation Planning Board, most recent and notable, The Regional Transportation Priorities Plan (RTPP). Having our local representation at the table with the Planning Board insures our citizen views are heard.”
The mission of the CAC is to promote public involvement in transportation planning for the region and provide independent, region-oriented citizen advice to the TPB.
