Detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 400 Block of Sherman Avenue resulting in one person being injuried
On 12/6/2013, at approximately 5:50 pm, the Frederick Police Department responded to the area of the 300 block of Madison Street for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival officers located a single victim suffering from one or more gunshot wounds. The investigation lead officers to the 400 block of Sherman Avenue where it is believed the altercation took place between multiple subjects, resulting in numerous rounds being fired. This investigation is being continued by detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division and is currently underway. As information becomes available we will update this release.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in serious condition. His injuries are not expected to be life threatening.
