The Frederick Police Department has made an arrest in a sex offense investigation...
On 10/26/2013, the Frederick Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division began a joint investigation with the Berkley Springs, WV Police Department regarding on-line sexual solicitation of minors.
The suspect in this case, Kevin Joseph White, had come into contact with police in West Virginia after they received a stalking complaint. The investigation revealed that White had met a juvenile female after talking to her online using the social media site “meetme.com.” The juvenile female advised police that White maintained a profile showing his age to be 14 years old.
Further investigation showed that White was residing in the 1700 block of W 7th Street Frederick MD. Frederick Police Department detectives worked in conjunction with the Berkley Springs Police Department to execute a search warrant at White’s residence in Frederick, MD.
Evidence recovered during that search warrant led detectives to identify another juvenile female victim. Further investigation revealed White had engaged in sexual intercourse with this victim after transporting her to his residence on several occasions.
On 10/29/2013, Detective Putman, of the Frederick Police Department, obtained an arrest warrant charging White with offenses related to the second identified victim. White was arrested Tuesday morning at his workplace on the outstanding warrant. White was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center where he is being held on $250,000 bond after an appearance before the District Court Commissioner.
