“Freecycle” Roundup Day Pilot Program
Frederick, MD -- Do you have old appliances, furniture, clothing, box springs and mattresses, electronics and more! Do you want to get rid of those things?
The City of Frederick will have a “Freecycle” Roundup Day on Saturday, October 5th from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at The City of Frederick Yard Two at 531 Highland Street. Residents of The City of Frederick can bring a variety of items to be either accepted by Goodwill, Community Living and/or The City of Frederick. This is a pilot program for The City of Frederick and is intended to serve as a way for residents to donate items that may be of use to others or be disposed of unnecessarily. Listed below are acceptable items as well as specific items Goodwill and Community Living are collecting.
Pilot “Freecycle” Round Up Day is for The City of Frederick residents only. ID’s will be checked to verify proof of residency.

• Listed below are items that will be accepted by The City of Frederick,:
• Items not listed below will not be accepted and it will be the homeowner’s responsibility to dispose of those items.
• All items must be less than 7 feet in length.
Furniture (indoor/outdoor)
Appliances with refrigerants removed
Bicycles
Large toys (playground, kitchens, slides, etc.)
Swing sets (7’ or less)
Box springs & mattresses (3 each per household) must sign affidavit
Mowers, weed eaters, trimmers, etc….with all fluids removed
Grills with tanks removed
Non-profits organizations have been contacted for participation in this event. Please check back as the date approaches for a listing of participating organizations and acceptable items that will be collected by each organization.
