At 9:00 p.m., 07/24/13, Frederick police officers responded tot he 700 block of Heather Ridge Dr. for a shot fired call. Upon arrival, investigation revealed that an unknown person in an upstairs apartment fired an unknown caliber gun and the bullet traveled through the floor and into the apartment below. Frederick police officers were on scene for over two hours investigating the incident. It was determined that immediately after the incident the suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of police, who later made entry and cleared the apartment. No one was injured as a result of the incident. Investigation continues.
