Parkmobile Convenience Fee

Frederick, MD -- Parkmobile is here to stay in Downtown Frederick for the foreseeable future. Based on the success of the Parkmobile Pilot program which has been in place for the past year, The City has approved a more permanent agreement with Parkmobile to provide convenient mobile credit card payment for parking meters in the City using smart phone technology.

As part of that agreement, beginning August 1, 2013 the convenience fee for each Parkmobile transaction for using a parking meter will increase from .35 to .50 cents. This .15 cent increase will help defray the credit card transaction fees charged to the City.

The Parking Department is pleased and encouraged with the favorable acceptance of the Parkmobile program by the public. Developing a long-term relationship that is financially sound is consistent with the Parking Department’s long term strategy to deliver high quality, friendly, and reasonably priced parking for residents, employees, and patrons of Downtown Frederick.
