On Sunday October 16, 2011 at approximately 0714 hours officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the area of West Patrick Street and College Avenue for the report of an accident.
On Sunday October 16, 2011 at approximately 0714 hours officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the area of West Patrick Street and College Avenue for the report of an accident. As officers were responding Dispatch advised that the operator of the vehicle was running from the accident scene and carrying unknown items from the truck. Officers obtained a description of the driver from witnesses and located the subject a short distance away. The subject located by police, later identified as Sinsky, was positively identified by witnesses as the driver of the vehicle in the accident. Sinsky had removed a case of beer from the vehicle was attempting to run while carrying the beer. Sinsky left a trail of beer cans from the vehicle to his location where he was found. Sinsky failed a series of standardized field sobriety tests while at FPD headquarters for processing. Sinsky agreed to take an intoximeter test and registered well above the legal limit. A check of Sinsky’s driving status further revealed that his license to drive was suspended and revoked. Sinsky also had an alcohol restriction on his driving record. Sinsky was subsequently transported to central booking where he was released after receiving a $14,000 bond. No one was injured in the accident and the only damage besides the vehicle was a fire hydrant.
