Although Gas crews remain in the area working on the leak, S. Court St. has been opened to vehicular traffic.

Gas Leak reported on S. Court St. Street Closed.
On today's date, 07-15-13, at approximately 1400 hours, construction workers in the first block of S. Court St. reported they smelled an odor of suspected natural gas in the air. S. Court St. is closed at this time until further notice. The gas company has been called and are en route to investigate further. At this time, no evacuations have been ordered. S. Court St. has been closed to all traffic at W. All Saints St. and at W. Patrick St. Access to S. Court St. at Citizen's Way has also been closed for precautionary reasons. It is unknown how long traffic will be diverted. The closure has not caused significant problems at this time however, the Frederick Police Department is asking that motorist please avoid the area until further notice.
