On 06-16-2013 at approximately 0219 hours officers from the Frederick Police Department responded to the area of Bentz Street near West Church Street for a report of an attempted armed robbery. The victim advised a white male between 5’06” and 5’08” with a thin build threatened her with a small novelty size baseball bat. The suspect was covering his face with a mask. While talking to the victim officers were dispatched to the area of West 7th Street and Motter Avenue, for a similar incident. The description of the suspect in the second incident matched the description of the suspect in the first. The first officers on scene attempted to locate the suspect but were unable. In both incidents no one was injured and nothing was taken. Based on the matching description of the suspects it is believed these incidents are related and the Frederick Police Department is requesting the assistance from the public.
