City Announces Public Meeting on Impediments to Fair Housing
Frederick, MD –The City of Frederick is updating its Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice (AI), which was last completed in 1996. The purpose of the AI is to review the laws, rules, administrative policies and procedures and practices related to housing and how those laws affect the location, availability and accessibility of housing as well as assessing public and private conditions affecting fair housing choice.
The meeting will be informal in an effort to encourage participation and input from attendees on their experiences with Fair Housing choice in The City of Frederick. Residents and those who work as housing professionals, either in the public sector or the private sector as Realtors, lenders, landlords and developers are all invited to attend and share their thoughts on Impediments to Fair Housing Choice in The City of Frederick.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 11, 2013 Municipal Office Annex located at 140 W. Patrick Street and will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and will be hosted by staff and members of the City’s Fair Housing Commission.
