The City of Frederick Offices Will Be Closed On Memorial Day
Changes to Schedules of City Services Announced
Frederick, MD -- The City of Frederick Offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 27, 2013. Offices will reopen at the regularly scheduled times on Tuesday, May 28, 2013.
There will be NO Trash Collection Service on Monday, May 27th in observance of Memorial Day. This notice applies to residents that normally set out their trash out on Sunday evening for Monday morning collection. These residents are asked to hold their trash until the next regularly scheduled trash collection day.
**Please note – The Downtown Commercial District which includes; Market Street from South Street to 7th Street and Patrick Street from East Street to Bentz Street will have trash collected as scheduled.
There will also be NO Yard Waste Collection for NAC Area 6 on Monday, May 27th . This will be collected on the next scheduled yard waste collection day for the NAC Area 6 which is Monday, June 10th.
Clarification to the schedule is as follows:
• Parking decks and parking meters are free on Monday, May 27th
• The William Talley Recreation Center will be closed on Sunday, May 26th and Monday May 27th in observance of the Memorial Day holiday.
• Frederick Community Action Agency (FCAA) and the Foodbank will be closed on Monday, May 27th and reopen on Tuesday, May 28th
• The Soup Kitchen located at the FCAA will be open on Saturday, May25th , Sunday, May 26th and Monday, May 27th serving an evening meal from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. daily.
