On 04-08-2013 a suspect wanted for bank robbery was extradited back to Frederick Maryland by detectives with the criminal investigations division.
Mr. James VanWinkle was extradited back from Greenville, South Carolina after being captured by the Maryland State Police fugitive task force and the United States Marshalls Service. On 03-13-2013 Mr. VanWinkle was identified as a suspect in the bank robbery of the Sun Trust Bank located in the 1700 block of Rosemont Avenue, Frederick Maryland. Mr. VanWinkle was transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention center and is being held without bond.

Suspect Wanted for Bank Robbery Captured in South Carolina: 2013-015651/CID
Authorities from the United States Marshalls Service with assistance from the Maryland State Police Fugitive Task force located and arrested Mr. James Raymond Vanwinkle in Greenville, South Carolina. James Raymond Vanwinkle was wanted by Frederick City police detectives for Bank robbery.
The United States Marshalls Service Fugitive Task Force unit received information in reference to the whereabouts of Mr. Vanwinkle. Acting on this information the Task Force located Mr. Vanwinkle in the 400 block of North Main Street in Greenville, South Carolina. Mr. Vanwinkle was taken into custody without incident. Mr. Vanwinkle is being held at the Greenville detention center awaiting extradition.
