The 54th class of the Frederick Police Department Training Academy will commence on April 1, 2013.
The 54th class of the Frederick Police Department Training Academy will commence on April 1, 2013. The seven month course of study and practical application will be conducted at the Frederick Police Charles V. Main Training Center.
Students will receive intensive training in various areas. Areas of instruction will include defensive tactics, firearms, search and seizure, criminal law, criminal investigations, first aid, emergency vehicle operations, motor vehicle law, police ethics, report writing, special needs populations, and collision investigations.
Graduation is scheduled for October 25, 2013.
There will be 12 student officers from three Frederick County agencies in the 54th Academy; eight from the Frederick Police Department, two from Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, and two from the Brunswick Police Department.
