On today's date the Frederick Police Department arrested a subject for driving without a license and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
On Monday February 4, 2013 at approximately 0840 hours Officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the report of a hit and run vehicle accident. The accident occurred in the area of Rosemont Avenue and Montevue Lane. The victim advised that a white Acura struck her vehicle and refused to stop after the accident. The victim followed the vehicle for a short distance down Willowdale Drive while on the phone with police. OFC Prior and OFC K. Meyer responded to the area. The white Acura was located in the parking lot of Willowdale Crossing Apartments. The victim described the suspect as a light skinned black male with blonde hair. OFC K. Meyer located a male matching the description in the parking lot near one of the buildings. The male, later identified as Latmier, Michael Charles (B/M/4-4-1984), admitted his involvement in the accident. A driver status check on Latimer revealed that he didn’t possess a license. Latimer was placed under arrest and transported to central booking, where he was awaiting a hearing before a District Court Commissioner. No one was injured during the accident. 2) Various citations regarding failure to stop and remain at scene of property damage accident
