The City of Frederick to Join in the Somber Remembrance
To Honor Children and Teachers of Sandy Hook Elementary School
Frederick, MD – The City of Frederick, Maryland will join Faith Based Communities and Municipalities around the Nation to mark a somber moment to honor and remember the Sandy Hook Elementary School students and teachers who lost their lives one week ago today. The City Hall bells will be rung 26 times at 9:30 AM today, Friday, December 21st .
“We all feel like we want to do something to show our support and our sorrow. By joining in the bell ringing and observing a moment of silence, we are remembering those 26 beautiful lives. To mark the time and day shows our commitment to come together as one in this Nation.” said Mayor Randy McClement.
City Hall is located at 101 North Court Street in Frederick, Maryland.
