On today's date the Frederick Police Department made two juveniles arrests for tampering with motor vehicles
On 12/19/2012 at approximately 3:59am, officers of the Frederick Police Department responded to the 1400 Blk of Baker Place West for a tampering with motor vehicle call. Officers were advised through police dispatch that a complainant was currently watching three B/Ms, who were all wearing dark clothing, attempting to open several vehicle doors in the parking lot. Upon arrival in area, officers set-up a perimeter and proceeded to carefully approached the scene. After a short canvass, officers located a B/M walking behind trash dumpsters attempting to avoid contact. The B/M was stopped, informed why police were in the area and detained. Further, officers were also able to locate and detain another B/M at the intersection of Willowdale Drive and Key Parkway fitting the description provided. At that point a show up was done in which the complainant positively identified both B/Ms as the suspect. Both B/Ms were taken into custody and transported to police headquarters. Due to the fact the B/Ms are both juveniles, their information in being withheld at this time. Should anyone discover items missing from their vehicle(s) that were parked in the area of Key Parkway, Willowdale Drive and Schaffer Drive or have any further information regarding this incident, please contact OFC. Wheeler at 301-600-4117. Also, the Frederick Police Department is reminding all citizens to please lock your vehicle doors while your vehicle is parked and unattended for an extended period of time.
