Carroll Creek Rotary to sponsor
6th Annual PAL Santa Day - Saturday December 10th 11:00 am – 2:00 pm
The Frederick Police Activities League (PAL) is pleased to announce that the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek will be hosting PAL Santa Day. This event is to provide youth in the PAL Program in Frederick, an opportunity to create a special holiday by making crafts, choosing gifts and wrapping gifts for their caregivers. This is the 6th year that the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek has organized this event.
This event will take place on Saturday December 10th from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm in the PAL Community Center, located at 111 Pennsylvania Avenue. Members of the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek are generously contributing gift items for the occasion.
The PAL Program is but one aspect of the Department’s multi-faceted, progressive approach to policing in our community – enforcement, prevention, education, and outreach.
The Police Activities League of Frederick (PAL) began in August of 1999, and is a recreation-oriented juvenile crime prevention program that relies heavily upon athletics and recreational activities to create and cement the bond between police officers and the kids on the street. During the school year the PAL program is offered in the evenings at the PAL Center in the Sagner Community and at Hillcrest Elementary School. PAL offers kids a safe nurturing place to learn and interact with the police officers all while having a good time.
