Mayor Names Acting Chief of Police

Frederick, MD -- Mayor Randy McClement has appointed Captain Thomas Ledwell as the Acting Chief of Police effective close of business on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. Captain Ledwell’s career progression includes 20 years as a Frederick Police Officer, 13 years of which includes Command Staff experience.
“I am very certain that Captain Ledwell will serve the City in a confident and knowledgeable manner and I look forward to working with him during this time,” said Mayor Randy McClement.
Chief Kim Dine has accepted a position as Chief of Police for the U.S. Capitol Police. Chief Dine served The Frederick Police Department for the past 10 years.
