COVID 19 - Daily Operation Plan

Health Center

  • The health center is operating 9AM-5PM
  • The health center is offering telehealth to existing patients which can be scheduled by email to telehealthfcaa@cityoffrederickmd.gov or calling 301-600-1393 or 301-600-1506.
  • COVID-19 testing is available Monday-Thursday 9:30AM-11:30AM on an appointment basis for anyone who is symptomatic and/or has had direct contact with someone who tested positive.
  • If you are not a current patient of the Frederick Community Action Agency Community Action Health Center and are in need of healthcare services at this time, please complete an online intake form at bit.ly/FCAAHealthIntake to see if you qualify for healthcare services at our health center. A staff member will contact you within 24-72 hours after submission of your application

Food Supports

  • Soup Kitchen Hours:   5:30 -6:30 p.m. daily.
  • Foodbank Hours:    2:00-4:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Monday and Wednesday

Other Services

  • Additional agency services (transportation, housing and weatherization, and energy assistance) have been reduced to allow staff to work on emergency and urgent needs. For more information, visit the FCAA Website
  • Additionally, we are monitoring the impact of COVID-19 on the most vulnerable in our community. We are in active conversations with fellow human service providers to ensure all populations are cared for during this public health crisis.


Through a wide array of programs and services, the Frederick Community Action Agency provides food, shelter, medical care, housing, and other forms of assistance to families and individuals that are low-income or homeless.

Started in 1968, the Frederick Community Action Agency is sponsored by the City of Frederick and the Friends for Neighborhood Progress, Inc. with support from the Frederick County Government. The Frederick Community Action Agency is administered by a fifteen-member Board of Directors appointed by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Frederick.

The Frederick Community Action Agency, the federally designated Community Action Agency for Frederick County, Maryland, administers programs and services to assist disadvantaged and low-income people, thereby, ameliorating the causes and effects of poverty.

The Fiscal Year 2019 Continuum of Care (CoC) Consolidated Application (CoC Application and CoC Priority Listing) and project applications are now available in e-snaps. Collaborative Applicants and project applicants can now access the applications to review, update, and enter information that is required for the application process through the Fiscal Year 2019 CoC Program Competition NOFA.
