Mission

The purpose of the Advisory Board is to provide feedback to the City of Frederick Mayor, Board of Aldermen, and city staff in carrying out initiatives related to equity advancement in the City, pursuant to Resolution 20-15, adopted by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen on July 16, 2020 and Resolution 20-17, adopted by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen on August 6, 2020. The City has identified equity as a fundamental value and the foundation upon which we make the commitment to act to promote justice and fairness in the creation and implementations of priorities, policies, programs, and legislation. Members of this Advisory Board will serve as advocates for equity in the community, helping to highlight more voices and build momentum around our commitment to equity.
