About
Seventh Street is one of the principal corridors in central Frederick, serving North Market, East Street, Fort Detrick, Frederick Memorial Hospital, US15, and commercial and residential neighborhoods along the way. As part of efforts outlined in the Comprehensive Plan to create a more equitable, safe, and multimodal transportation network, the City is determining what kind of bicycle infrastructure should be added to the road.
The resulting facility will tie in the existing bike lane on North Market, the new bicycling infrastructure that will be built as part of East Street Rails with Trails, and neighborhood streets.
The project will be split into three phases:
- Between North Market and US15
- Between North Market and East Street
- Between US15 and Military Road

Phase 2: North Market to East Street
This phase will begin after the feasibility study for Phase 1 is complete.

Phase 3: US15 to Military Road
This phase will begin after the feasibility study for Phase 1 is complete.
