Major Event Planning Resources

As there are plenty of events hosted in the Frederick community, The City of Frederick knows people have many questions regarding event logistics and preparations. To aid event planners and coordinators with their questions, this is the one-stop-shop for those planners looking for permits and other approval structures. 

TIMING CONSIDERATIONS

  • Temporary Food Service Permit must be applied for 2 weeks prior to the event date, in order to allow time for processing and approval.
  • Liquor Permit must be applied for 2 weeks prior to the event date, in order to allow time for processing and approval.
  • Non-Large Event City Permits must be submitted at least 45 days prior to date of event. 
  • Large Event City Permits must be submitted at least 90 days prior to date of event.  
  • For insurance needs, event planners are experiencing many delays. Submit your requests as early as you can.
