Weinberg's Upcoming Season to Include Christian Music Artist Steven Curtis Chapman

In advance of its complete 2017-2018 season announcement, the Weinberg Center for the Arts revealed that Christian music icon Steven Curtis Chapman will bring his SCC Solo Tour to the venue on October 29.

Weinberg’s Upcoming Season to Include Christian Music Artist Steven Curtis Chapman

 

FREDERICK, Md., Wednesday, July 12, 2017 — In advance of its complete 2017-2018 season announcement, the Weinberg Center for the Arts revealed that Christian music icon Steven Curtis Chapman will bring his SCC Solo Tour to the venue on October 29. Best known for hits like “Live Out Loud,” “Do Everything,” and “Love Take Me Over,” the industry legend weaves a rich tapestry of musical worship, sharing intimate details of his personal journey. The performance will begin at 7:00pm.

Tickets begin at $15 and are now on sale to Weinberg Center members. Tickets will become available to the general public on Friday, July 21 at 10am. Steven Curtis Chapman is a five-time GRAMMY®-winning artist who has sold nearly eleven million albums to date. He was awarded two RIAA-certified platinum and eight gold albums. With 58 Dove Awards and 48 number one radio singles to his name, Chapman is the most awarded artist in Christian music history. Chapman has released 26 studio albums, the most recent of which, “Worship and Believe,” was released in 2016. He has been featured on multiple broadcasts, including “Good Morning America,” “CBS Sunday Morning,” “60 Minutes,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Larry King Live,” and more. Chapman, along with his wife Mary Beth, founded Show Hope in 2003, a nonprofit organization helping to make a difference for the millions of orphans around the world. His biography “Between Heaven & the Real World: My Story” was released in March 2017.
