Fan Favorite “Bull Durham” to Screen at Weinberg Center
FREDERICK, Md., Monday, April 10, 2017 — The 1988 romantic comedy “Bull Durham” will screen at the Weinberg Center for the Arts on Wednesday, April 26 at 7:30pm as part of the Flying Dog Film Series. A pre-screening happy hour will begin in the lobby at 6:30pm.
Tickets are $5-$7 with discounts available for students, military, and seniors. Tickets may be purchased online at WeinbergCenter.org, by calling the Box Office at 301.600.2828, or in person at 20 West Patrick St.
Sports Illustrated has named “Bull Durham” the greatest sports movie of all time. Starring Kevin Costner and Susan Sarandon, the Ron Shelton-directed film follows an aging minor league ball player, brought up from another team to mature a young pitcher. Both find themselves romantically involved with Ann, a baseball groupie. “Bull Durham” is rated R for strong sexuality, nudity, and pervasive language, and has a runtime of 108 minutes.
